Welcome to the Hanover High School Council blog.

On June 14, 1977, the Dresden Board of directors voted unanimously to support the system of governance body at Hanover High School known as The Council. The Council shall have the authority to act on all matter at Hanover High School not controlled by school board, state policy, and administrative regulations. The Council is the governing body of Hanover High School.

Council Minutes 6/1/2012

  2. Reports
    • [Mod] : -We are referring the Class Committee Election Motion/ Class committee bylaw         notification to OEC so that they can revise it.
    -Peer leadership sign ups  are coming soon for incoming Juniors and Seniors.
    -The Common Ground Steering Committee is discussing some changes to common ground. They are discussing having Juniors & Seniors, and Freshmen & Sophomores, meet every other Tuesday for administrative matters (announcements), guest speakers, presentations, etc. This will allow common ground to meet every Thursday without interruption. If you have questions, talk to Henry.
    -Ad-hoc Committees will be made next year.
    [A-mod]: There’s a council picnic tonight at 6 at Huntley Meadows! Bring Bubba burgers
    [Treas]: We are working on the club budget.
    [DSB]: There’s a DSB meeting Tuesday, June 12th in the Library at 7pm. We recently passed a motion to improve DSB attendance, so please come!
    [PR]: 13 new likes on FB and 3 new Twitter followers! The council board will be up soon. Also please get your club budget forms to Claudia!
    [Curric]: We met with Dmitry and discussed developing his Restitution Plan. We hope to create and run an approved pilot program for one semester in the future to see how it will work.
